This next year can be a year that we do the things we love more. Rather than setting resolutions that will most likely be abandoned in no time at all, why not commit to dedicating more time to doing the things you already love or the things you’ve always wanted to do. This way you can know you will be doing something you enjoy and will look forward to it rather than it feeling like a chore. These things are very individual and personalised but here are some ideas on things you can do more of or can help give you some inspiration.

Cooking At Home

There are so many restaurants and takeaway options now that sometimes it may feel hard to go in the kitchen and make a home-cooked meal if you aren’t really feeling it. However, takeaways are normally high in fat, sugar and generally not good for your health. If you get a takeaway you are more likely to have something unhealthy like pizza or burgers rather than a healthier dish you would normally cook at home. A good way around this is by having some quick cook lists in the kitchen of healthy meals that take very little time or effort to make.

Then at the weekend, you can spend more time cooking and making things you enjoy or can try. So you can try making your own bread for example, or bake brownies with the kids. You can even try something new like making your own trifle or chocolate tempering. Some of it can be complicated so look at chocolate tempering instructions at veenaazmanov.com to help you practice.

Read More And Expand Your Mind

Reading is one of the best ways to learn new things and expand your mind. It is also a great way to destress and escape reality to a world of fantasy and different stories. There are books for everything these days, whether you want to heal yourself and get a book to help you be more confident, or you may want to learn something new so get a book all about marketing. The possibilities are endless. You can even reread some of your favourites.

So go down to your local bookshop and see what they have, you can also get an e-reader which will help you save space and you can have all of your books on one device. This also will make it easier for you to read more. You can take it on holiday, on the bus or even to work to read on your lunch. With it being compact you won’t have to worry about carrying heavy and clunky books.

There are so many things you can do more, go for more walks, spend time with loved ones, practice gratitude. But an advantageous thing to do is to make sure it helps you. Does it contribute towards good health? Will it help you advance in your career? And will it help you practice self-care and look after your mental health? These are the things to consider.
