What does it mean to you to build a business? Is it selling a product? How about customers? Is it traffic? Do you really know who your audience is? I recently took a 30-day challenge to learn about business building and gaining quality traffic and customers. What I learned was quite valuable.

This is a sponsored post by Russell Brunson and Traffic Secrets The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers. All opinions are my own.

The challenge was based on a book by Russell Brunson called Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers. As a blogger, this translates to identifying who I’m talking to and identifying with what they want and need to hear. I had a lot to learn about my readers. Here are some of the key topics that I, as a blogger, am learning to implement.

Traffic Secrets Takeaways

  • What do my core readers want? This is about niche and target. If I identify what they want, I can get them to come back for more. There are 3 core desires; wealth, health, and relationships. When my readers come to my site, how am I helping them to meet their core desires?
  • What is going on in my reader’s heads when they are moving away from pain and moving toward pleasure? I need to understand my reader including where they are coming from and where they are headed. What struggles do they face? What goals do they have and what motivation do they use to achieve them?
  • What can I offer my readers? Hook, story, offer. I need to hook them in to keep them. What I offer needs to be unique to them, their needs, and their desires. An example of this is we offer relational advice and ideas. We don’t pretend to be perfect, but we show how we turn messy into no-so-messy.
  • Who are the people my readers follow? If I know what they like to read about and learn, I can offer content that is suited to them. Developing relationships is what fosters trust and knowing what they like helps me to help them. Create a story that builds a connection.

The Science of Success

When you’re a business owner, you have to be able to understand the science behind entrepreneurship. Knowing your people, who they are, what they like, and what they want to know, are keys to building a successful and high-quality following. This book is also helpful in learning key strategies to increase your site traffic. If you make the effort to really know who you’re talking to, you can find future followers and help them find something they may not have even know was out there.

Keep being positive! Keep learning and be dedicated to your followers. They’ll feel it. Make lists of websites, forums, and social media groups that will benefit you and your reader. Continue your education so you can pass it on.

Russell Brunson is the Best-Selling Author & CEO of $100M software company ClickFunnels. With a following of 1 million and hundreds of thousands of books sold, he has certainly gained the attention of entrepreneurs all over the world.

About Christina

Christina Sawyer was born in New Jersey but moved to Florida when she was 2 years old.  She went to college at the University of Central Florida where she received a BS in Education.  She paid her way as an aerial acrobat in live shows in Orlando.  After teaching for a few years, it became clear performing was the life she wanted.  She met her husband performing in a stunt show together! At some point, amidst the performing, she began having kids and eventually left the performing world.  Now she works at home while homeschooling her 3 crazies and runs a crochet business. As an introverted extrovert, you might find her hiding in the corner of a busy room!
