Most people who are home educating choose to come up with new and exciting learning ideas as often as possible. It keeps the children interested in learning things and it keeps parents happy, because they know that they are doing the best that they can. While we’ve been in a pandemic, a lot of those who have never considered home education have been thrust into it without any warning. This has led to panic and worry that they’re not getting it right.
With home education, any learning is getting it right. You and your children can have a ton of fun together despite the stress and worry in the world, and the best way to have fun with home education is to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. We may be moving toward the Fall, but that doesn’t mean that you have to stay cooped up inside. You can go and see RV dealers and make your outdoor education a real adventure with the kids – and you can make your outdoor fun even better with these tips. Let’s check them out!
One of the best ways to get kids interested in the world and science, is to get outside and enjoy it. You can’t educate your kids about the beauty of flowers by showing them pictures of flowers. You need to get out there and show them the way the petals turn toward the sun. Nature studies only workout well when you’re in nature, and it’s a great reason to give your kids lessons in climate and growth, too.
While you may have children who love to paint and draw, make your next art lesson one that you do outside by the ocean. Get the children to draw the waves, to choose the best colors that match the water and the sky. Take a variety of writing and drawing instruments and a sketchpad each, and you will come away with some breathtaking drawings.
Invest In Chalk.
One of the best ways to help your kids to get their creativity on is with sidewalk chalk. Not only does sidewalk chalk wash away in the rain, it’s the perfect tool for wherever you go. You can bring some with you when you get in the RV and head out on the road, too. Make some memories by writing names and dates of all the places you head to, and take a photo of their artwork in each location. It’s a great way to have fun on the road while you get the kids interested in a new game!
Dig & Build.
Sandis one of the best materials to play with when you have kids. You can add water and build with it, you can hand them a spade and let them dig through it – and it’s right on the ocean, too. Digging and building is going to give your children some of the most fun they’ll ever have. They will be able to learn how to build and all about how sand became sand in the first place!
Exercise & PE.
Just because you’re at home, doesn’t mean that you can’t get your workout on. Kids love to run, jump and play, so give them space to do these things. Go out into the woods and balance on logs, practice throwing and catching a ball, and create an obstacle course out of natural materials.
