If you are a Disney fanatic, you know this can be costly and sometimes elaborate. We had to come up with a solution to make the magic happen. If you’re a Disney fan and haven’t heard of Disney Bounding, let me enlighten you to a whole new world of Disney Bounding Costumes for kids!
I can make Disney out of everything. Disney Bounding is like someone standing in another room and screaming “Snow White” and you suddenly look like her. It’s an inspired-cosplay style of dressing up. You can use any Disney characters you want. It came about by Leslie Kay who was the blogger who came up with an alternative to costumes at Disney. See her story here. The idea is using color patterns to create the “inspired by” character. You make the outfits so cute that it isn’t obvious that its Disney Bounding until you look at it for a minute! There are so many examples of this but here are a few to get you started.
Snow White and Her Seven Pals
Snow White is a simple one to start you off.
If you have a few kids to dress, Disney Bounding dwarfs go perfectly with Snow White!
- You can use a Colored hat for whichever dwarf, for example, Dopey is purple and Bashful is Blue.
- Any t-shirt in the color of your dwarf.
Simple. Quick. Easy.
Here are some other simple and easy ideas that are quick to throw together.
Here is a Jake and the Neverland Pirate’s Disney Bounding crew. A crocodile backpack added a little extra RAWR to this outfit. Add a hook hand and you have the croc chasing Captain Hook! Mr. Smee is ready to help with a simple blue striped shirt, red hat, and blue shorts. Izzy is most adorable in her satin pink shirt with purple shorts. Add the personality with a bandana and rope necklace for her pixie dust!
“We are eternally grateful!” Aliens have invaded with this cute little number. The green top and blue bottom dress inspire the aliens from Toy Story. Here you can find a DIY eyeball headband to make this outfit. Just scroll down to Sebastian.
Dori and Nemo make a great team! Blue shorts with a yellow t-shirt and adorable buns make her…wait… I don’t remember! A cute addition could be a little blue tutu like this! Nemo is inspired with his striped socks with matching striped infinity scarf. Add orange shorts and the look is complete. Any variation of these makes a perfect Disney Bounding team.
Who can resist Bambi and Flower? The simple dress with deer headband is irresistible and best friends with Thumper with his tail and a striped infinity scarf. Easy to top off with a black hat or other accessories.
How You Can Add Your Own Touch
You can add make-up, nail polish, or different styles of clothes like skirts, dresses, or boots. The idea is to use the colors and accessories to show your character. Disney Bounding costumes for kids are versatile and full of options.
