When cleaning the bedroom, our auto-pilot cleaning strategy tends to kick in. And we go through the motions of doing the same cleaning tasks we always do. Such as folding and putting away clothes, moving the kids’ toys back into their room, and vacuuming the floors. However, this leaves many other important parts of the bedroom left untouched.

If some of the below-mentioned areas are left unclean for too long, it could cause the master bedroom to look drab or even become unsafe.

The Closet

Cabinets provide dark, undisturbed areas that attract pests! To prevent creepy crawlies from making a home in your wardrobe, in and amongst your clothes; it’s essential to hoover the floors and wipe the cabinets and rails with a damp cloth.

Preventing pests in your closet is far easier than trying to eliminate them when they’ve already made a home in your wardrobe space. For this reason, keeping your closet space clear, tidy, and dust-free regularly will help.

Scatter Cushions

Washing our bed linen frequently is essential to get rid of dead skin cells and sweat. But for some reason, we forget to treat scatter cushions in the same way. Adding scatter cushion covers in as part of your regular bed washing routine is simple to do. And will keep the cushions In good condition too.

Look Up!

If there’s’ one area, everyone is guilty of neglecting while cleaning, take a look up at the ceiling. From the coving to the light fitting, we usually forget about hoovering cobwebs, and dust gathered up high. Although, it doesn’t need to be looked after as regularly as the floor. Freshening up the ceiling, and polishing your light fitting will make looking up, while in bed a lot more pleasant.

Handles and Knobs

From the window to the bedroom door, handles are a breeding ground for bacteria. They are often touched by multiple people a day. It’s a forgotten area to clean, but it’s worth adding to your regular cleaning regime to prevent the spread of illness and viruses in the bedroom and around the rest of the home.

What lies beneath?

Another hiding space for all things that love dark, enclosed spaces, is under the bed! If you don’t have a bed that’s easy to hoover under. Moving the divan to hoover the carpet, can sometimes become a task we promise ourselves we’ll do later on, but never get around to.

To keep dust and debris from collecting underneath your bed, push the bed over from time to time to give the floor a quick vacuum.

We clean to keep our homes healthy, in good condition, and looking fab. By adding the above tasks to your cleaning regime, you can easily upgrade your master bedroom’s cleanliness and comfort.
