It can be challenging to find gifts for moms who homeschool. They are an incredibly unique group. I’m not just saying that because I am one! I speak for the women I work with, socialize with, live life with. They go so far above and beyond, not just on a daily basis, but hour by hour throughout any given day.
Who is the Homeschool Mom?
Homeschool moms are often spread very thin with tiny humans requiring most of their attention, a home that is busting at the seams with books, papers, and school supplies, schedules that pull them away from every task, and even jobs and work that have deadlines. All of these are monsters on their own, but combine them and you now are the proud owner of a 3-headed disaster with a common cold. Homeschool moms are usually selfless, compassionate, caring hot messes with coffee in hand. You can identify them but the messy bun, t-shirt and leggings, and a huge bag full of books and papers for on-the-go teaching.
They need a hug. They need a cup of coffee! Let me take the guesswork out of gifts for homeschool moms.
As a homeschool mom of some relatively good experience, let me give my wisdom and guidance to help relieve some of the gift-buying stress you may feel.

My favorite…a night of babysitting! Need I explain any further? Moms must; I emphasize…MUST, get nights out. It is imperative to get away and have a night to be an adult. Real conversation, non-kid-related topics and all.
Spa day: Spa Finder is a great tool for locating some spa services and a local spa that will treat them right. Refer back to babysitting for this one!
Cleaning Service: A day, weekly, monthly…any chance to have a clean house that your homeschool mom didn’t have to partake in is a glorious gift from above! This is probably my second favorite.
Gym Membership: Find a local gym and set her up! See spa day above to really make a package of it! Give the added bonus of some workout clothes to get her started.
Restaurant Gift Card: This may not sound very personal, but I can assure you, from experience, adding this with babysitting and a night out for her and her husband or friends will be just the rejuvenation she needs.
